Piping System Fundamentals Overview

Piping System Fundamentals takes you inside to get a better understanding of what is really going on in your piping system.

Starting with the basics like vocabulary and building to component operation and finishing with problem solving techniques all with a minimum of math formulas. Our emphasis is on understanding the relationship between the components that make up a piping system and what happens when changes are made to the piping system. Attendees will learn how to prevent a variety of possible problems that can arise in a piping system. The attendee will gain real world experience that they can use back at their place of work and immediately apply what they have learned.

Classes are from 8 AM - 5 PM with one hour for lunch.  Example problems are provided so bring a calculator if you want to test out your new skills.

Topics covered in this 2-day course include:

  • basic and advanced hydraulic principles

  • pump selection, sizing, and operation

  • control valves, flow meters, and system components

  • system design, operation, and analysis

  • energy savings in pump selection and operation
